How much will my trip cost??

Im thinking of jacking my job in and travelling round the world possibly in 6months, maybe 4/5 countries, say, hong kong, australia, fiji and USA. I know you can buy tickets for a certain amount of stops say £800 for 4/5 flights but...has anyone out there gone for a 6 month around the worls trip? Hows much did you spend? Im hoping not more than £4000!

1. It will be close, but that should be enough money for about a year.
2. That's not much money for those destinations - you'll struggle with that. You may want to consider cheaper destinations such as SE Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia) as you money will stretch much further there.
