- CORAL COAST The Southwest quadrant of Viti Levu ("Big Fiji"), also known as the "Coral Coast," contains a number of tourist resorts. The area features the nicest weather on Viti Levu, as well as spectacular ocean views, white sand beaches, and volcanic hills that rise sharply toward the island's interior. Fijian village life is also on prominent display, with a number of villages which feature cultural events if that interests you. it also has spectacular reef surfing. NADI Nadi is about 15 minutes south of Nadi International Airport, the place where most of you are probably landing. Good place to begin as a starting point to travel the islands. there's not much to see here... but its good to being from here, because it's close-by to the airport, and you cud rest for day here.. after your long and tiring flight. SUVA Suva is the capital of Fiji. It is a pretty relaxed town The town has many old shops and markets with various foods, artefacts, handicrafts and especially seafood Places of historic interest include the National Museum, situated in the lush surrounds of Thurston Gardens next to Government House and the old Parliament Buildings YASAWA ISLANDS beautiful You can catch a catamaran there from Lautoka or Denarau Island (both are within 45 minutes of Nadi Airport great sites... have a great trip!!
- Fiji is a place that is full of adventure & activities to keep you occupied throughout your vacations. It offers great water sports like wind diving, surfing, snorkeling, and diving. On Sundays, a good idea would be to take a stroll through the city, especially if you are staying in Nadi or Suva, and go shopping for souvenirs and other knickknacks. Another option would be to visit a Fijian temple or church service, where you can get to hear some great singing. Rugby and soccer are popular sports in Fiji and is a great way to pass a few hours. Fijians take their rugby very seriously and almost every village has its own rugby team and field. Pottery & wood carving are most popular craft here. Potters here use traditional techniques handed to them from generations to generations. These are a must buy souvenir for tourists visiting Fiji. A great time to visit Fiji is when its many festivals are held throughout the year. Visit there in February or March for the festival of Holi or in October or November for the Diwali Festival. In August Suva comes alive with the Hibiscus Festival, while the Sugar Festival in Lautoka in September is also worth seeing. New Year’s Day is also celebrated with much fervor in Fiji, with some parts of the country having festivities the entire month of January. Fijians are considered to be the friendliest people on the planet. Experience Fiji and you would believe it for yourself.
