- I flew 8 hrs with my 7 month old and it was not as bad as I thought. I packed way to much food and bottles but better to have more than not enough. She didn't make any fuss during take off and landing with her ears. She slept for a couple of hrs and the couple next to me were really nice and held her for another couple of hrs so I could sleep. Eating when the meals come round is a pain in the ass cos you cant eat if there is no where to put baby. So make sure you pack food for you too. Also changing nappies is a pain too as there is NO room in the toilets to do it. If you want to go toilet and no one will hold her you kind of have to balance them in the sink and pray that they wont fall. Its even worse if they are asleep and you need to go wee so make sure you go before they sleep. Also didn't get my pram until the carousel the other end so I had to go thru the airport AND immigration before I could put her down. Some aircraft take lightweight strollers in the cabin so you can get it right away so just check before you go.
- Keep in mind that to other passengers, the sound of crying infants is VERY annoying, so please comfort your baby and try to keep the infant as quiet as possible.
